पूर्णिया विश्वविद्यालय उत्तर-पूर्व बिहार क्षेत्र में शिक्षा का केंद्र है। पूर्णिया विश्वविद्यालय में 13 घटक कॉलेज, 33 संबद्ध कॉलेज शामिल हैं, जिनमें B.Ed, इंजीनियरिंग, प्रबंधन और चिकित्सा संस्थान पूर्णिया डिवीजन में फैले हुए हैं।
