पूर्णिया विश्वविद्यालय पूर्णिया में स्थित है। जिसे 18 मार्च 2018 को पूर्णिया विश्वविद्यालय के नाम से ही किया गया है। पूर्णिया विश्वविद्यालय का गठन पूर्णिया, अररिया, किशनगंज और कटिहार जैसे चार जिलों में फैले पूर्णिया डिवीजन की उच्च शिक्षा की जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए किया गया है।
